ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed doing this post because it allowed me to explore a social issue that I deal with on a daily basis: Health and Wellness. We have a lot of different diseases that plague our African American community and this assignment is giving me the chance to impart my knowledge and help battle this. The directions were very easy to follow and I had a lot of fun doing the assignment as well.

ReplyDeleteThis Assignment 4 was a little hard for me but at the same time Very intersting. i learn more about my topic as well as setting up a group pnn facebook. I enjoyed doing this assignment to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteThis assignment took a little more time then the previous assignments. I liked the fact of choosing topics that reflects many of us in the African- American community directly and indirectly. I enjoyed learning more about my topic and i enjoyed even more being able to share it with others and getting their outputs on the issue.

I hope that the group is a good one and the discussions are on point. The directions are a little confussing but overall the assignment was cool!

Interesting homework assignment. I had to really do research on a topic I felt was plaguing the black community so that i do not misinform others.

ReplyDeleteThis assignment is a little difficult only because people don't really want to talk about something like the education gap between rich and poor Americans.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, the complaints I have are basically the same as the other assignments. I don't see how this is adding to my knowledge of the issue. It just seems to be kind of busy work. Although I guess there's kind of a lesson in how to rally people to a cause or something to be found in it.
This assignment was difficult at first because I was introduced to new ways of using technology. I learned how to start a facebook group and change a google document into a pdf file. Now that I know what to do it isn't hard.

ReplyDeleteBy far the worst of the assignments yet.
The directions were a little confusing, and I had trouble using Google Docs, again. Word to the wise, accidently saving a document as a spreadsheet means that you have to re-type the whole document. Lesson learned!

ReplyDeletethe topic that I chose to discuss on facebook is entitled "the N Word: Why does it still Live". The group discusses whether we as members of the Black Community should bury, resurrect, or just leave the word alone.
ReplyDeleteThe opportunity to share what I feel is the most important social issue facing our community was great. I had a wonderful time brainstorming and getting a better understanding for myself of why we must tackle Drugs in our society.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this assignment, I was somewhat confused at first on what I needed to do but figured it out. My topic is depression on college campuses, specifically HBCU campuses. I struggled with it in the spring semester because there was so much pressure on me to perform well academically among other issues. So it gives me great pride to actually be able to help people that may be wrestling with depression.
