Click on the help menu in google docs if you need further assistance.
Set up a google docs account and learn how to share your documents. You will use your google documents account to write documents, spreadsheets, power point presentations and PDF’s. Due to the number of computer viruses, etc. this is the best way to get your documents to me. Documents that are submitted via Blackboard that do not open will receive a grade of zero or F. Submit the assignment on or before the deadline in your course calendar.

Formatting Text and Numbers (word-processing)
Using your gmail account create a google docs account and SHARE with me at sowk300@gmail.com the document that you create.
Download from the course website EXERCISE #1B (you will find this link in Blackboard and your textbook ) or see the following page – the document that you are to retype and submit.

Create a google document and retype the document exactly as it appears and share it with me.
Name the document
Share the document with me at sowk300@gmail.com
Submit on or before the date posted on the course calendar.
The purpose of this assignment is for you to create professional-looking tables because most of the Assignments in this course require you to present quantitative data in table format.

This assignment was difficult for me! The directions was clear; however, alignment the document was difficult. I couldn't get the paragraphs to align exactly like in the text. Overall, I learned that making a document look professional is very important. I also learned how to use Google Documents for the very first time. I'm excited about the next assignment!

ReplyDeleteThe assignment was easy it didn't take long to complete. the only problem i had was trying to justify the document correctly. i tried going to format and clicking align and justify but it didn't work.. are there any other ways to help with this problem?
ReplyDeleteThis assignment was easy. This was my first time ever using google docs but I think it would be something I would be trying in many more of my classes. But as Marvin said aboth the justifing part was some what difficult but lucky I finally figured it out.
ReplyDeleteOkay so this assignment brought me frustration because like always i was over thinking the directions. I wasnt sure on how to do the numbers at the bottom and im sure it will be getting sent back to me. If you havent finished it please do not wait until the last minute because it caused me frustration and i didnt even wait until the last minute. I would say feel free to ask but im not to sure on whther mine is correct. Howevwer my line is always open to fellow classmates. Google docs is not my favorite at the moment but im sure i will get the hang of it

ReplyDeleteI found this assignment to be a bit difficult. I wanted everything to be duplicated exactly as the assignment instructed. Hopefully I succeeded in doing so.
ReplyDeletesimple assigment, but did not really like working in Google docs. Hit some complications along the way because of basic internet problems but other than that everything was A-OK!

ReplyDeleteGoogle docs is actually a pretty powerful and wonderful piece of software for students! Yes it makes you have to think a bit and learn something new, but it is worth it. I strongly encourage that you use it for other classes. I have heard horror stories of students who had all of their work on their flash drive and lost the flash drive or the flash drive would not work...but because the student had saved all of their school work in google docs, they did not lose their work or skip a beat!! Google docs can be very useful to students...and best of all it is free!!!
ReplyDeleteThis assignment was cool.. I had to pay attention to detail and resend it, because the first time I did it I forgot to include where I'm from. Details- awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis assignment was a little confusing with the font. But I was able to work on it and figure it out. I think google docs is a good way to share personal information.
ReplyDeleteI had alot of ups and downs with this assignment. At first I thought it was easy but I started to over think the assignment and it became confusing. In the end I had to start over. I learned that I need to pay more attention to details and read instructions carefully.
ReplyDeleteI hated this assignment it was to hard to align it. It took way longer then expected and the direction made it seem simple until you tryed to make it look a certain way. I think they need to improve it have more features, even there help menu did not help again HATED IT.

ReplyDeleteWith Assignment 2 you had to put a little more effort than the first one obviously, I am not a fan of Google Doc, its a little to difficult than it should be or maybe it just takes time to adjust to it.

ReplyDeleteI think this assignment was a little bit difficult. I had problems figuring out the alignment section of the document. It took me a while before getting it correct. I was interesting figuring out how Google.doc, it was my first time using this program. It wasn’t hard learning how it works. The assignment rules were clear.

ReplyDeleteThis assignment was somewhat more difficult than the first. There were some minor complications with alignment and things of that nature that made this program more difficult to manage than Microsoft word. However, with patience I think I figured it out.
